Letter from Ruth
To my beloved family

How time flies, it just seems like yesterday that mum rang and told us that Sanjay was missing.

It seems like a dream for us, God knows what it is like for you all.  Prior to all this happening you all where just mum's cousins in Canada.  Yeah sure she loved you all very much and always talked about you all but I had no personal relationship with any of you.

Since this tragedy has happened I have gotten extremely close to you all.  The month of October will always be a dreadful month for you all and be assured we all are praying for you all here.We may be in Sydney and you guys are in Vancouver but hey thats ok.

I have been wanting to contact you all and write down my thoughts and feelings but I just didn't know what to write. I wasn't privileged enough to know Sanjay.  But reading what I have about him I have come to the conclusion he was a guy after my own heart.

I really regret not getting to know him, and experiencing the love you all had the chance to get. This is a very big loss for me.

It is amazing to think that in his short life he achieved so much and that he was so loved.  My beloved family do not mourn Sanjay, rejoice.  Thank God for his short life, thank God for his love and for the fact that he made such an impact on this world.  Today you all are not the only ones feeling the loss.  Every single person who came in contact with him is mourning with you.  Thank God that he was your son, grandson, brother.

I was reading the funeral speeches and I was crying because the words that where before me  where so moving.

The website is fantastic and it gives us a chance to share with you the memories etc. love the photos, they are so cool.  I really like the engraving on the bench.

I want to share something with you all.  The day that we found out Sanjay was missing, my hubby Fabium and I where praying. You know that we are Christians hey. So we where in the middle of praying when mum rang.  She was telling us that Sanjay was missing.  As soon as she told me that this verse of a Christian Hindi song came into my mind. It goes like this.

Mai leke aaj chal raha

Uthayega agar kohi

Woh Tuhi Tu hai Khuda

Mujhe sambhal mai gira x2

Sahaara de mujhe Khuda X2

Mujhe sambhal mai gira x2

Sahaara mujh ko chahaaiye

Sahaara de mujhe Khuda X2

Mujhe sambhal mai gira x2

It was this part in particluar that really got me:

Woh Tuhi Tu hai Khuda

Mujhe sambhal mai gira

Every time I hear this song I think of you guys.
It doesn't matter what religion we are , we all believe in a God.  Pray to Him and ask him to  give you His peace.  I know that when I am down and restless I can go to my God and get His peace.

Mum , Dad and Michelle are all fine.  Fabium and I are both fine as well.  Life here is very busy, the weather is getting warmer as well so it is nice.

Hopefully soon Fabium will be recording a CD.  I will send it to you when he does so that you can hear him sing.  He has been blessed with a beautiful voice and he is very talented.  Hopefully you will be able to hear him live. He too cares for you all deeply.  We always talk about you guys. He has a strong desire to meet you all.

Every one here sends you all their love.  Look after yourselves.  This is our email address so if you want to contact us please feel free to do so.

I love you all so much.  I am constanly thinking of you all and be assured that you are in our prayers. Take care and God bless you.

All my love

Ruth
